In part two of our Angles series, Jim Burke and Chris Coumbe look at some strokes published in 1934 by Newman Mond, who specialised in trick shots and exhibitions.
Stroke observations:
Shot 41
The card says to aim for an almost full ball contact. This proved somewhat difficult, a 1/4 ball contact obtained the required result. This contact meant that should the cannon be missed the in-off was a high possibility. Over time, as balls, cues and cloth change, maybe this results in strokes being played differently (from the 1930’s to now).
