Jersey Open (JBSA Centenary) – 24-26th May ’24
In May, the circuit heads to Jersey in the Channel Islands for the second staging of the Jersey Open World Ranking Event. This is part of the centenary celebrations of the Jersey Billiards and Snooker Association over this weekend, and we are very grateful for their support and sponsorship in making this event possible. Previously a level 3 event in 2022, this year’s tournament carries level 5 status and therefore increased prize money and ranking points on offer.
Jersey has hosted regular tournaments in both Snooker and Billiards in addition to well-supported leagues and island competitions. A programme of entertainment has been planned by JBSA, with further details below.
The group stages take place on Friday and Saturday, with the knockout stage being played on Sunday. The Jersey Mechanics Institute was incorporated in 1902 and has a total of nine match tables (including one that has been recently installed). All tables, which will be recovered prior to the event, are in a historic two floor hall in the heart of St. Helier. It is situated a short walk from the waterfront and in close proximity to numerous places to eat and drink.
